Mrs Hawe’s Granda (John) came to speak to our class about his experiences during World War 2. We asked him lots of questions about what it was like to live in Belfast at the time, what it was like to be an evacuee and what foods, medicines and games were available. He brought us gas masks, ration books and many pictures to look at. He also gave us all some coins to keep. Thank you for teaching us so much!
