P4 marked World Book Day with the calm and cosy theme of “Get Comfy, Get Reading”. Mrs Talbot thoughtfully chose the story ‘Arlo, The Lion Who Couldn’t Sleep’ for P4. We enjoyed reading this together and discussing some of the life lessons within it.
We then carried out some fun activities inspired by the story, including decorating biscuits to look like Arlo, writing questions we would like to ask the characters and thinking about how they might respond.
Another highlight of the day was making cosy reading dens using our desks and some blankets and pillows. We, quite literally, got comfy and got reading.
Lots of fun had!
