Bush Primary School & Nursery Unit, Dungannon

P.3. Windmill IPS and Bush PS Shared Education Arts Programme

11th Mar 2026
Today marked the final session of our four week Art and Environmental Shared Education Programme, led by Fine Artist Jake de Souza.  Over the past month, pupils from both schools have worked together to create stunning landscape artworks using only natural materials gathered from their school grounds.
Throughout the programme, the children learned how to ethically and sustainably transform grass, fallen branches, soil, and even tea leaves into vibrant inks and drawing charcoal.  Using these handmade materials, they created expressive landscape pieces while deepening their understanding of art's connection to the natural world.
The finished artworks are truly remarkable.  We are incredibly proud of the pupils' creativity, their growing friendships, and the respect for differences they have shown throughout this shared experience.
