P7 Trip to Dublin

19th May 2025

Last week, our P7 children had an unforgettable three-day adventure in Dublin, packed with fun, learning, and plenty of laughs.

Day 1: Zoo Explorers and Beach Time

We kicked things off bright and early on Wednesday morning, meeting at school at 6:45am. After picking up our friends from Killyman Primary School, we headed straight to Dublin Zoo. The children were thrilled to see a wide variety of animals and took part in a Nature Rangers workshop, learning about wildlife and conservation. The gift shop was a hit, with many children picking up souvenirs to remember the day. After checking into our hotel and enjoying our dinner, we made our way to the beach for some free time. The weather was pleasant, but the sea proved to be quite chilly! Back at the hotel, the children spent the evening chilling and relaxing before heading to bed for the night.

Day 2: Thrills at Emerald Park

Thursday started with an early breakfast before heading to Emerald Park, Ireland's only theme park and zoo. The park offered a variety of attractions. We had the best day and could have stayed longer. After a fun-filled day, we returned to the hotel for dinner. The evening was spent at a local leisure complex, where the children engaged in a friendly yet competitive game of bowling, followed by time in the arcade.

Day 3: Viking History and Shopping

Friday morning came quickly and after packing up and having breakfast, we visited Dublinia, a museum dedicated to Viking and Medieval Dublin. The children explored interactive exhibits, learning about the city's rich history. Our final stop was a shopping centre, where any remaining pocket money was eagerly spent. We then made our way back to Bush Primary School, with everyone tired but smiling, having made memories to last a lifetime.
