This week, we were learning two new words: ‘my’ and ‘little’. We found them in one of our nursery rhymes called ‘I’m a little teapot’. We then talked about how to make a cup of tea safely and carried out an investigation to discover whether or not tea leaves disappear in water. We know that when substances disappear in water, we can say that they ‘dissolve’. We realised that substances like sugar and salt dissolve, but tea leaves and pepper don’t. We had fun learning new vocabulary and carrying out our investigation!
