There was great excitement and surprise as we investigated how to make our own butter. We poured whipping cream into a jar and started to shake. We shook the jars all over the playroom, taking turns and working as a team. When we got a little tired Mrs Ferguson added some music (Old MacDonald Had A Farm) and this helped us shake a bit more. It didn't take long before we noticed something yellow and hard. It was butter, we couldn't believe we had made our own butter! We spread the butter on our toast for snack and it was absolutely delicious. We all agreed it was much better than the one you buy in a shop.
